After a 3-year absence, the Sailing Fair made its comeback on Saturday, November 4th at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal. The Sailing Fair is a unique event, entirely dedicated to sailing from both a sporting and leisure perspective. This year's event brought together more than thirty exhibitors: sailing schools, organizations from the nautical world and professionals offering boats, equipment or marine crafts came to meet the general public.
The Sailing Fair also offered a full program of conferences on a variety of themes, some technical, some inspiring, but always relevant to those curious and passionate about sailing. How to prepare a family sailing trip, weather routing, the difficulties of sailing in the South, the leadership of the skipper, the Femina Cup with its amazing project to participate in the Transat Québec Saint-Malo in 2024, weather in coastal sailing and many other topics were presented during these conferences and enabled the audience to leave with a great toolkit to make their sailing projects come true.
Overall, nearly 900 people from all walks of life gathered to discuss sailing, find out more and interact with speakers and exhibitors.
The Fair is the ideal place to meet sailing enthusiasts. How do you start sailing in Québec, or perfect your sailing skills? This is the ideal place to find all the information you need and make contact with the right people," commented Marc, a visitor, at the end of this year's event.
The Québec Sailing Federation would like to extend its warmest thanks to all its partners, participants, exhibitors, speakers and volunteers, without whom this event would not have been possible.
